Then in a wide arc, lower the weights by the sides.   After reaching shoulder length, lift the weights up again.  Eight to twelve repeats per set will do.  Increase the number of repeats and weights as you grow stronger. </p>
<p>3. Pushups: A chest exercise that is regarded as the most effective.  Thigh, back and abs are also worked with the chest when doing pushups.  When doing pushups, try not let your abs droop and your also trying to keep your back straight at the same  time.   Now, get down on your hands an knees with the hands directly below the shoulders to support your weight.  Bend your arms from elbow position and let your chest go down just about it is above the floor.   Now push yourself back up, straightening your arms.  Repeat this exercise 8-12 times and increase number of sets every time. </p>

<p>1.The first thing you need to do is sit on a bench or a chair and place your feet a little bit wider than your shoulder line.   Angle your legs and your feet in an outward position. </p>
<p>2. You&rsquo;ll need to grip a dumbbell between your legs.  Keeping your back straight while bending down is important.   With the dumbbell lowered, position the back side of your arm on your thigh. </p>

<p> An Exercise Ball for Crunches</p>
<p>To keep you tummy trim, at one point or another you need to do crunches.   The most effective crunches used, is the one using an exercise ball.   Keep your feet level with the ground as you sit on the ball.  With your thighs parallel to the floor, lie back on the ball.  Tuck your chin into your chest and also cross your arms over your breast area.    With the abs tightened, raise your upper body to about a 45 degree angle.  While you contract, breath out.  Keeping your balance is done by spreading your legs apart and working your side muscles is done by putting the legs closer together.  Breathe in when you loosen the contraction. </p>
<p>The Reverse Crunch </p>
<p> Lying down, your arms should be extended away from the ground.   With your ankles crossed and knees somewhat bent, pull them up to ninety degrees.   Your back should stay flat to the ground for the most pull in your stomach.   Lift the legs to point towards the ceiling and let down again.   Repeat it as much as you want. </p>
<p> To Do the Bicycle</p>
<p> Lay down with your lower back kept flat on the ground.   With your legs lifted up to a forty-five degree angle, begin peddling.   Do this with your hands close to your head.   After cycling the right knee towards you, touch it to your left elbow. Next, repeat the same thing on the left side.  As you cycle, consciously make an effort to not run out of breath. </p>
<p> If you continue these exercises on a regular basis, your abs will be in great shape!  Doing these workouts may feel uncomfortable and if they do, consult a doctor.   Make sure you don&rsquo;t overdo it.  As time passes, you will find that you will be able to do more reps with less effort. <p> Chest Press </p>
<p> With the barbell, keep your hands spread so they are a littler wider than the shoulders.  Your stomach muscles should be strained, while at the same time, bow your back, lift your chest a little, and keep your shoulders on the bench.   The barbell should be pushed up to straighten your elbows.   Now bring the barbell down with your arms in a square position. Keep repeating the activity for better results.    </p>
<p> Inclined Lift </p>
<p> Lie on a bench sloped to a thirty degree angle.  The exercise is similar to chest press.   Keep the shoulders down on the bench with your abdominal muscles tightened.   Now take hold of the barbell and push up to straighten your elbows.  Now bring down the barbell so that your elbows are parallel to your shoulders and then push back the barbell up in the air.   Continually repeating it will give you the best effect. </p>
<p> Declined Lift </p>
<p>Lie back on a decline bench press and place your feet in the footpad.   Once you have a barbell, your hands should be situated a little to the outside of the shoulders.  Now extend your arms out from the chest with the barbell in hands.   The barbell should be brought down to the lower chest, but should not touch it.   Also, try to keep your arms at a forty-five degree angle with your chest while coming down.   Too much strain on the shoulder joints can be caused from your arms being too far out.   Now lift the barbell back to the starting position.   Help may be need by your coach if you can&#8217;t do it.  Try to avoid too much tension, cause you may damage your joints or muscles. </p>

<p> Changing it Up</p>
<p> To begin, jog a different route.  So if you jog within your neighborhood one day, go jogging in the park the next day, or a different neighborhood the day after that.   Your expectations and the scenery will change as you try different routes, you will find.   Or, you could switch between jogging inside on your treadmill to some good music and jogging outside.   This will keep your routine interesting.</p>
<p> Try Unusual Exercises </p>
<p> Try doing some unusual exercises like various sports.   Try doing pilates instead of aerobics.  Instead of jogging, try out wall climbing.  And instead of weight training, try out swimming. There is hardly any equipment involved and some routines mentioned are DIY.     You want to be warmed up before each drill and prevent any chances of getting dehydrated by drinking lots of water.  Stretching will get you ready to go.</p>

<p> Each team is jogging in a single file line at a steady pace.   The person in front is replaced by the last person in line who sprints up to take his place.  The team shouldn&#8217;t change in their pace as they jog.  The team then counts to ten, after which the person in front is replaced by the sprinter from the rear.  All members of the team must have a turn to sprint to the head of the line. </p>
<p> Medicine Ball Indian Run Workout </p>
<p> Each team is jogging in a single file line at a steady pace.   The front leader, passes the ball directly behind him.  The pass is done by holding the ball above the head, and the person behind him, taking it.   The ball must be passed to each person until it has reached the end of the line.  The last man has to run to the head of the line and do the same exercise again.   When each team member has sprinted to the line&#8217;s head, it is finished. </p>
<p> The Twenty-one down workout </p>
<p> Any reasonable number can be used, but here we will use twenty-one push ups, followed by twenty-one crunches.  When the first set is finished, everyone does 20 pushups and crunches until reaching one.   The number can be changed according to the fitness level of the group. </p>
<p>Piggyback carry and squat </p>
<p> Get in pairs of two, in a grass field.  A partner carries his pair on his back (piggyback) to the center of the field.   Once in the center, the one carrying does a selected number of squats.   When done, keep carrying the partner to the other side of the field and switch off. </p>
<p> These exercises don&#8217;t have to be done on the same day.   Spend time doing the weight drills, the piggy back and squats, on one day.   The team could do the running exercises(The Indian Run or the Medicine Ball Run) on other days.   Separate the more fit people into a team that can do more sets, and the less fit people to do smaller sets. </p>
<p> After each drill is finished   take a rest.   Get plenty of water during this time.   These boot camp exercises can be extremely fun.   Better team work and camaraderie will be added with the boot camp workout routines.  </p>

<p>Varying in exercises, here are three exercises that should help you body stay flexible and toned throughout the week. It is important to note that this 30 minute routine should be complemented with a cardio activity that should last at least 10 minutes (like jogging, running, biking, swimming, or brisk walking), and that will further enhance your fitness level. The 30 minute workout can be done in as little as 3 times weekly for adequate toning and fitness.</p>
<p>Lifts</p>
<p>This exercise helps strengthen muscles on your back, butt and shoulders. Lie face down with your legs and arms extended. Lift you left arm and right leg off the floor simultaneously. Do the same with your opposite arm and leg. Do about 16 reps of this or more depending on how you feel.</p>
<p>Presses</p>
<p>This exercise will strengthen your triceps, front shoulders, and your chest. You will need small dumbbells for this exercise. Lie on your back with your knees bent and your feet flat on the floor and hold your dumbbells extended above your chest and palms forward. Make sure your back remains on the floor, so you will feel your abs contracting. Squeeze your shoulder blades and line up your elbows with your shoulders by bending them. Then straighten arms again. You can do 16 reps or according to how you feel.</p>
<p>Crunches</p>
<p>This exercise will strengthen your abs and keep them toned. Lie on your back. Your knees should be bent and should also be in line with your hips, and your calves should be parallel to the ground. Put your hands behind your head, but not clasping your fingers and keeping your elbows opened. Use your abdominal area to lift up your hips from the floor and bring your knees up towards your chest. Lift your head and shoulders off the floor as well. Make sure your back is on the floor and that your abs contract. Lower everything again and do about 16 reps or whatever your body can handle.</p>
<p>You will find that these exercises have different variations in the gym and may even have machines to help you with it. However, doing these at home are just as effective as long as you follow the instructions carefully and make sure that you don&rsquo;t strain yourself. You will find that as time goes by you will be doing reps more quickly and in more numbers as your body gets more flexible and stronger. By doing these exercises regularly, along with your simple cardio, you can be sure that you will keep your body fit and toned.</p>
