Learn How to Jump Higher


 


Man might not be able to fly, but we can jump. How high a person can jump varies from person to person. If you are looking for ways to improve your jumps then you will need to take certains steps towards this goal. Fortunately, there are a number of exercises that are available which can improve your jumping heights. Doing this will soon have you going higher.

WARMING UP

Exercises should never be started without a warm up. Not engaging in warm ups can result in undue muscle cramps and stress. Warm ups involve a series of quick aerobic routines. You could skip for a short while. Your intention is to increase the flow of your blood.

JUMPING EXERCISES
All done with the warm up? Now you are ready. You can begin the various exercises. These exercises are aimed at increasing the strength and flexibility of your legs and knees. Perform the following carefully.

Deep Knee Bends – Start from a standing position. With your backs straight, gradually lower yourself by bending your knees. Bend your knees as low as you possibly can. Repeat this 10 to 15 times.

Deep Knee Bend Jumps – Just like the first, start with your back straight in a standing position. Then in one fluid movement crouch as low as you can and then shoot yourself up into the air. Once you land repeat the process again. Do 10 repetitions of this.

Toe Raises – With a firm back, stand tall. Now gradually raise yourself on your toes while keeping your back straight. Count to 2 before gently lowering yourself. You should avoid rocking forward. Repeat this 20 to 25 times.

Jumping Rope – You can get any true jumping results without more jumping. Use a jumping rope for daily exercise. This not only will improve your muscles it will also sharpen your reflex.

Jumping Lifestyles:
Other things can be done to improve the results of your jump. One of these is to lose some weight. Lighter people find it easier to jump higher. Observing the people that compete at high jump games will prove this. People who are overweight and heavy find it difficult to jump high because of the effect of their mass.
